![]() ![]() ![]() You can download your favorite albums and selected playlists (subject to your free disc space, of course), but for everything else it'd stream it. Third, and in my opinion best option, is Plex PlexAmp no need to convert, no worry about phone storage because all the files are kept locally. Disadvantage here is, again, disc space, but also having to convert from FLAC. A different option is to convert your files to ALAC or MP3 and use the built in Music app. But, the disadvantages would be a poor UI for playing music, and you might run out of space on your phone. If that's what you're set on, something like VLC would work for transferring and storing and playing your FLAC files locally. ![]() Plex/PlexAmp is mediocre if want you want to do is sync / transfer your music. What are the limitations of offline music syncing via Plexamp? I was looking around and saw that there's a 24(?) hour limit - is that the total amount of storage you can have at once? I only need to sync 100GB maximum at any given time.ĭoes the mobile Plexamp app offer support for scrobbling to Last.fm? I don't mind paying for a Plex Pass since it'd still be cheaper than my current streaming subscription, but is this the most cost-effective way to do what I want to do if I don't plan on getting much use out of the additional features Plexamp offers? of my current files? I'd prefer to keep using MusicBee for listening and tagging music on my PC and just point Plexamp to the location of my current library for syncing purposes. ![]() I'm just looking for an easy way to take my music with me without a streaming connection.Īm I correct in understanding that if I get a Plex Pass I can use Plexamp to move music to my iPhone?Ĭan I set up Plexamp on my PC without affecting any of the metadata etc. I'd rather not do this because 1) most of my library are FLAC files and 2) I think iTunes sucks. My issue is that while MusicBee does basically everything I could need from a music player on my computer, it seems I'd need to download iTunes in order to move my music to my phone (current gen iPhone SE if that's relevant). I'm trying to move back to building up my own music library rather than relying on streaming, and I'm now at the point where I'm ready to ditch my Spotify subscription. ![]()
